Scope
Recent advances in pervasive, low cost, wireless communication, embedded computing for
sensor information processing, and medical informatics have enabled the development and
first examples of "Wireless Health" and "TeleHealth". This new area is broadly defined
as the use of personal communication technologies to provide and support individualized
healthcare for patients in their home, workplace, and remote clinic environments.
This special issue seeks contribution from international community in the general scope of design and development of architectures, algorithms, protocols, and technology for pervasive wireless health.
